CONTINUUM MOVING INQUIRY WORKSHOPS
SUSAN HARPER
The Continuum Moving Inquiry events await those who love to inquire, who dare to listen at the edge and in the depths, who are aware of the adventure of courting the unknown.
We actively participate in liberating unexamined habitual styles of perceiving and acting. We move into alive, curious, engagement where the style and act of living becomes a creative art. We explore to loosen the grip of identity; freeing us to embrace our fluid nature, which is creatively responsive to its context.
We explore the primacy of the human heart to love and be loved, mutual inquiry, skills of intimacy, somatic and verbal dialogue, and the depths of the imagination.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
In movement dives, we transform through gentle breathing, primordial vocalizing, and engage a multi-faceted movement range that may be both wild and tender. We refine our ability to sense intrinsic movements and the fluid forces of creation to guide our healing and creative unfolding. With curiosity we feel sensation rich feelings, as we dare to love, weep, laugh, and meet the splendor and 'terrible beauty' that the river of life delivers.
SPIRIT OF INQUIRY: We attend the art of discovery through movement, and the art of inquiry in how we perceive, and how we make meaning. How we see, listen, move, and touch affects our physical structure, psychological profile, and capacity for intimacy. Inquiry fosters a community that supports the natural creativity, and intelligence that springs forth in the absence of a fixed image of who and what we are.
SUSAN HARPER opens portals of exploratory consciousness. She has the ability
through demonstration of sounds, breaths and movement to transmit a primal
and spiritual fluidity that inspires participation resulting in embodied innovative
discoveries. She teaches internationally and has been contributing to Continuum
since 1975, and is the developer of Body of Relating and Body of Perception
Trainings. Hubert Godard, David Whyte, Michael Meade, and Lama Drimed
inspire her in this theme.
